love ’em, leave ’em at moca

We are thoroughly enjoying our membership
at the Museum of Contemporary Art – ‘MOCA’ Cleveland.
The latest exhibit is Kate Gilmore’s ‘Body of Work.
The dramatic commissioned performance piece ‘Love ’em, Leave ’em’
is on display as a sculpture installation and video.
Hundreds of vessels were shattered and splattered from a 10′ high structure
specifically for this exhibit.
It’s fun and dramatic.  The video is great to watch.
My 8-year-old loves it and is ready to see it again.

Exhibit up through June 9, 2013

Body of Work also includes 5 videos of performance-based works by Kate Gilmore
showing the artist confronting absurd physical challenges.
Some are very funny, we’ve been talking about them all weekend.

Also at MOCA:

Check out the 13 minute screening exploring the psychological effects of cinema:
The Paradise Institute by Janet Cardiff and George Bures Miller
A very cool experience.  Check out more here.
