winter wonderland

The holidays are a magical time of year.  Part of the magic is the festive decor
we spend so much time setting up.
As an interior designer, it’s natural for me to want my house looking its’ best.
All that hard work for only a month of enjoyment?
It’s time to go for the winter look so we can enjoy it until spring.

Here’s my front porch ready for Christmas.
All I’ll have to do after the new year is remove santa.  Even the red burlap bow
can hang out until valentine’s day.

Snowmen, pinecones and cardinals represent winter.
It looks like I’m keeping current with the plaid trend –

After years of mismatched stockings, it was time to coordinate.
After a trip to the fabric store and a little sewing and stitching,
our family is now united!

Our barn is naturally color coordinated for Christmas.
