It gives a sleek new meaning to wood shelving.
This year we took our summer vacation out west.
We started by attending a fabulous wedding in Vail and ended up in Denver spending the week
with all of our smart friends who decided to live out there.
We timed our trip just right – Chihuly has an exhibit this summer at the Denver Botanical Gardens.
Incredible hand blown glass throughout the gardens is quite a site to see.

Summer is official in our house when school’s out.
So today is our first day of summer and we’re ready to embrace it!
No more pencils
No more books
No more teacher’s dirty looks
I just discovered S’Well bottles. I love their mission – to get rid of disposable water bottles .
They keep drinks cold for 24 hours, hot for 12 – which makes them
great for the car and beach in the hot summer months .
The colors are awesome – check out the wood grain in cool colors!

My trip to New York City this past weekend, like always, has me inspired by all it has to offer.
Among the great shopping and fabulous restaurants we checked out the High Line.
This awesome public park owned by the city, is built on a historical freight rail line above the streets on the west side of Manhattan.
This 1.45 mile park is full of beautiful plants and gardens, plenty of seating
and currently has an art sculpture exhibit throughout the line.
What a great escape to be 1 flight of stairs away from traffic lights & automobiles
and still enjoy the city views.
Not only is the concept incredible, but the design is quite impressive.

The holidays are a magical time of year. Part of the magic is the festive decor
we spend so much time setting up.
As an interior designer, it’s natural for me to want my house looking its’ best.
All that hard work for only a month of enjoyment?
It’s time to go for the winter look so we can enjoy it until spring.
Here’s my front porch ready for Christmas.
All I’ll have to do after the new year is remove santa. Even the red burlap bow
can hang out until valentine’s day.
Snowmen, pinecones and cardinals represent winter.
